Hike Amazing Trails at Garden of the Gods
Its natural beauty is what captivates so many people to explore the stunning sights of the Garden of the Gods. Miles of amazing scenery expand the across the horizon for visitors to witness the wonderful landscape.
To think that this majestic place could have become a beer garden! Yes, one of the early explorers to the area thought that this landscape would make a great place for beer drinkers to gather. Luckily, the other explorer stated that the landscape was fit for the Gods to gather. This claim ultimately led to the space being known as the Garden of the Gods.
Native Americans commonly visited the space and most likely used the rocks and caves as shelters.
With over 21 miles of beautiful trail ways, Garden of the Gods is explored by many visitors each year. The Nature and Visitors Center offer history of the landmark as well as the scientific formation of the park.
How to Visit
Garden of the Gods is free to visit but donations are greatly appreciated. They are open every day of the year except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day.
