A Thrill at Cave of the Winds
Extending nearly 300 feet above the rocky cliffs near Niagara Falls stands the Prospect Point Observation Tower. Constructed in 1961 on this site due to its excellent location for viewing the falls, the tower has stood as an iconic overlook for spectating tourists.
Adorned in yellow rain ponchos and souvenir sandals this attraction gives visitors an awesome adventure. Feel the intensity of the famous Niagara Falls in this unique tour that allows visitors to get up close in this fascinating experience. The Cave of the Winds tour is my personal favorite attraction when visiting the falls area. It is amazing how you can hear the water crashing over the rocky cliff onto boulders below.
As you climb the iconic stairs that lead you to the “Hurricane Deck” you will be able to witness the powerful force of rushing water that is Niagara Falls. Within a few feet of the falls, guests experience what is referred to as tropical storm like conditions due to the intensity of the water, wind and sound.
Violet Sky’s Visit
Cave of the Winds was my favorite part of the exploring the Niagara Falls area. Just feeling the intensity of the water was amazing! I loved how it is an experience being able to approach one of the iconic landmarks of the East Coast.
