Virginia’s Largest Botanical Garden
The Norfolk Botanical Garden is the largest of its kind in the entire state of Virginia. Not only are there hundreds of species of plants, it is all powered by renewable energy sources! The entire space is at least 150 acres featuring beautiful gardens with entertainment for all ages.
The Norfolk Botanical Garden is a non-profit that works to create a beautiful landscape for the study and experience of a variety of plants. Beginning in 1938, Thomas Thompson and Frederic Heutte were given nearly 150 acres for the initial foundation of the gardens.
Over the years the Botanical Garden grew and has since become a popular attraction in the Norfolk area.
How to Visit
