One of the most stunning drives of America lies on Avenue of the Giants. For 31 spectacular miles you can explore the astonishing height of these trees. Stop along the way on your adventure to experience the natural beauty of these Redwood groves.

Along the drive, visitors get the opportunity to explore some of the most iconic trees in America. Among these forests is the Immortal Tree. Standing 250 feet tall, the tree is almost 1,000 years old. Over the years it has survived lighting strikes, floods and even loggers attempt to cut it down. An axe it still located within the tree.

Other notable attractions along the highway include a drive-thru tree (does charge admission) and a tree house. The tree house is unique in the fact that part of the house is inside a still living tree.

How to Visit

This stretch of road is located along Old Highway 101. It is free to drive and there are plenty of great places to stop along the way for scenic sites and picnic areas.
