About

Indian Falls tumble 25 feet over a stony cliff into the river below. A hidden cove is nestled under the falls which allows visitors to walk up to the toppling water from behind. This waterfall offers a beautiful view and is in a unique location.

The overall beauty of DeSoto State Park really is worth the visit. So many waterfalls are located within the park and they are found along some scenic hiking trails. All of the trails within the park range from easily accessible to moderate.

Violet Sky’s Visit

Indian Falls are very beautiful. It was one of my favorites in the park due to the fact that it has something none of the others have. A cute little hideaway cove tucked away behind the falls. To access this cove I had to climb down a short drop to walk out on the ledge that goes to Indian Falls. I was very cautious as it was slippery from the rain.

Being able to walk behind the falls made this one special. It reminds me of how truly beautiful nature is.

How to Visit

This waterfall is located down a little trail within DeSoto State Park. It is a very short walk from the parking lot which makes it easily accessible. If you park near the water plant you can follow the signs to the falls.

Indian Falls happens to be the second tallest falls located within the park. A day pass is required to be at the park. To read more about hours and admission please click here.

Thanks for reading and as always, keep on truckin’.
